| ahem... a little something I got from my popsio today... need I say more? Not so much. A prayer by Thomas Merton:
"My Lord God, I have no idea where I am going. I do not see the road ahead of me. I cannot know for certain where it will end. Nor do I really know myself, and the fact that I think I am following your will does not mean that I am actually doing so. But I believe that my desire to please you does in fact please you. And I hope that I have that desire in all that I am doing. I hope that I will never do anything apart from that desire. I know that if I do this you will lead me by the right road, though I may know nothing about it. Therefore, will I trust you always, though I may seem to be lost and in the shadow of death. I will not fear, for you are ever with me, and you will never leave me to face my perils alone."

| oh! So people actually write on these things. Perhaps I have felt as though I have no blog-worthy news, as anyone is capable of reading such worthy or unworthy news, but maybe one or two special folk out there care to know what's up in my life, so I'll tell you in a nutshell. School has been alright. It's school. I had some finals that I hated myself through but sure enough, they are over and I'm all good now. Overall, adjusting to a new city and all that my new role there entails has been pretty good. I LOVE my house and my roommates -- they have been my life support for sure this fall. In fact, I'm away at my parents' new place in Ontario for Christmas right now and this is all new to me so I miss my home in Calgary tremendously. My brother David got married in October -- a wonderfully fun wedding. One more in the spring for the other bro. Here's the wedds: (1)the adorably gorgeous couple and then (2)me and the bros

But Merry Christmas to all my dear Witt girls and amazing other folk out there whom I love and adore. Yes that is you. Have some good festive fun and eat lots of yummy chocolate and other deliciousness that you can get your hands on. P.S. I went to a Christmas party tonight with my parents (my parents being the only people I knew there), but karaoke was on the list of things to do and when New York, New York came up as one of the options, I decided there would never be as fun a karaoke as the good times had with that lovely machine in the living room at Witt. Man, I miss those dance moves... ahem... interpretive dance moves.
| Another new fall for me..... it's been a little bitter sweet hearing the news of all you ladies' new experiences at BFA and such. But don't get me wrong -- I'm glad for it! It just reminds me how much I miss you (plural) and I miss dearest Wittlingen and all that it entails. But now the newness of student-land has come upon me yet again. It is quite the adjustment I would have to admit. New city, new life, new roomies, making new friends, doing homework -- you name it and it's all strange again. I moved into a house that is turning into a pretty great thing but I may not have said that at first with the despicable mess I had to clean up! yikes is all I can say. Right now I am deciding how badly I really need to get a job and if I should start looking sooner rather than later.... my vote is later, but my bank account probably says sooner. I hate it when that happens! haha. And the last new and exciting thing is that I am a happy and proud new owner of a delightful little MacBook. woohoo to that one. That's the quick news on me. Later my friends. (and I don't know why it decided to hate me and print 2 now listenings.... strange things.)

| I spent last week in Vancouver area with my friend Lisa, doing my bridesmaid duties by helping her stay sane and prepare for her wedding which was Sunday. I'd say I did a pretty good job.... with much help of course. We finished up last minute details, did some good shopping, had some good eats, and threw her a kick-bum stagette. Then of course, the whole wedding thing. Beautiful day, beautiful bride, beautiful location, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. It was great. I didn't take many pics since that wasn't really my primary responsibility, but here's a couple:

Annie, Lisa and me before the wedding at the groom's house. The 3 of us met and were roomies at Capernwray.

so, yep the girls minus the beautiful bride and then the guys. Good times had by all. Hot times standing there in the sun, then some more good eats and of course, some great dancing to end the night with.
Nothing else much new, except to all of you who thought Sarah and I looked too much alike, the blondness of our similarity is no more. I went brunette, as you can note in the first pic, although not as dark as I anticipated it to be. More good times in the hair department. And sadly, no more being a replica of our dear McFaddy. And I got to have lunch with Katie before I flew out!!! That was fun. <<sigh>> That's all for now.... peace.
